The Best Selling iPhone, Apple Becomes the First Company Worth 3 Trillion US Dollars

US technology giant Apple became the first company to reach a market capitalization of US$3 trillion or equivalent to Rp42.926 trillion on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Apple hit a stock market capitalization record of $182.01, up 2.5 percent, according to Nasdaq data, quoted by Reuters.

The company founded by Steve Jobs is now the most valuable company in the world because of investor confidence in best-selling products such as future cars to virtual products.

"This is a fantastic achievement and certainly worth celebrating," said Jake Dollarhide, chief executive of Longbow Asset Management in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.

Apple's stock market value is higher than Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Tesla

In China, one of the largest markets, Apple continues to lead the smartphone market for the second month in a row and outperform rivals such as Vivo and Xiaomi, according to the latest data from CounterPoint Research.

Meanwhile, Tesla became the most valuable car manufacturer in the world. Amazon has a market cap of around $1.75 trillion and Google's market valuation of around $2 trillion.

On August 2, 2018, Apple became the first company to reach a market capitalization of US$1 trillion. iPhone is Apple's best-selling product.
